Amy grew up in Saluda, South Carolina where she graduated from W. Wyman King Academy. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1993 and a Masters of Professional Accountancy - Taxation in 1994 from Clemson University .

Personal:
Amy is member of Spring Valley Baptist Church. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Dennis, a special education teacher at Blythewood High School, and their four children.
