Rod grew up in Lexington, South Carolina where he graduated from Lexington High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Real Estate in 2006 from the University of South Carolina.

During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Jewitte, an attorney with Nicholson Davis Frawley Anderson & Ayer, LLC, and their English Bulldog, Sadie.
